Dr. Emily Aronoff is a Jewish educator, songleader, and curriculum specialist with a Doctorate in Jewish Education from Gratz College and more than 20 years of experience helping communities engage with Jewish learning through music. She has trained countless educators, rabbis, and songleaders in research-based, developmentally appropriate approaches to making Jewish music meaningful and accessible for all ages.
Her work has been featured by leading Jewish organizations, including PJ Library, the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ), the American Conference of Cantors (ACC), NewCAJE, and the Institute for Southern Jewish Living (ISJL). She has contributed to publications such as ReformJudaism.org, Kveller, and ScaryMommy, and her research on Tot Shabbat and family engagement has been recognized within the field of Jewish education. She has also developed educational content for Behrman House's Hebrew in Harmony curriculum and other innovative Jewish learning initiatives.
As the founder of Dr. Emily Celebrates, she has designed and led hundreds of programs for synagogues, schools, and camps across North America, blending scholarship with joyful, evidence-based songleading techniques. Her original compositions are included in Manginot: The Complete Jewish Songbook for Children, and she has written, recorded, and produced six albums of Jewish music.
A single mother of three, Dr. Emily understands firsthand the challenges educators face in balancing engaging Jewish learning with time constraints and real-world logistics. She is committed to helping fellow educators and songleaders save time, feel confident, and create joyful musical experiences that deepen Jewish identity. Whether she’s leading professional development workshops, coaching songleaders, or performing for intergenerational audiences, she brings warmth, expertise, and a deep passion for Jewish music education.
